“HI”Five Fridays

Our Hi Five Fridays have been off to a slow start and we realize this time of year, time becomes more limited. So, Hi Five Fridays will only be held the 1st Friday of the Month- The next one will be held on Friday, January 4th.  Grab a friend and head over to BBMS (around 7:55 am) for the bus arrival time. Sign in to the front office, and welcome students as they arrive. Students too cool for a hi five??? Just a “good morning” is all it takes. That one simple sentence from someone just might make a difference in that student’s day!!  LESS THAN 20 MINUTES of YOUR TIME to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!   Sign up here so we know who to expect those mornings!

HC DrugFree- HC DrugFree and Bonnie Branch Middle School PTA partnered to provide Up In Smoke: What Parents Need to Know about Juuling, Vaping and Other Drugs. More than 75 parents and students attended.  A huge THANK YOU to Gina McGuiness for bringing this program to our community and helping to educate our parents and students!  For more information go to

Staff Conference Dinner- Thank you for providing items for the staff conference dinner. There was an abundance of food and the staff thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for making this possible as we can’t do it without the donations from our wonderful school community. Thanks to the following families: Duffy, DeGiulio, Frankovic, Rainey, Peluso, Deekle, Gajera, Cheran, Fox, Nam, Reese, Twigg, Green, Markowitz, Watson-Barrato, Tyer, Duhon, Gallagher, Grimes, Wohnsigl, Sherwood, Drake, Yang, Wakil, Smith, Murgolo, McGuiness, Markey, Hudson, and Wethington. A very special THANK YOU to Lori Kelly for her efforts of coordinating this for the staff to enjoy during their long night of conferences.

Spirit Wear- Thank you to the many families who purchased Spirit Wear during our Fall/Winter Spirit Wear Sale. The students were crazy for all the new items and will be rockin’ the shark stuff soon!!  Be on the lookout for an email about spirit wear delivery!! Students will receive their spirit wear during lunch shifts and bring them home that day. THANK YOU to Therese Cooper for all her efforts in our spirit wear sale!!

Reflections- This year our Reflections program had a 700% increase in participation!! Congratulations to those who participated and submitted an entry.  Best of luck to those entries that have moved on to the county level.  This increase of participation is the result of hard work and efforts of Momina Malik and Kelly Green.  So- THANK YOU LADIES- for taking on the program last minute and knocking it out of the park with your efforts!! Additional thanks to our judges for the program, Lee Rainey, Mrs. Sharbaugh, and Mr. Yeargin.
