“HI”Five Fridays

Hi Five Fridays will only be held the 1st Friday of the Month- The next one will be held on Friday, February 1st Grab a friend and head over to BBMS (around 7:55 am) for the bus arrival time. Sign in to the front office, and welcome students as they arrive. Students too cool for a hi five??? Just a “good morning” is all it takes. That one simple sentence from someone just might make a difference in that student’s day!!  LESS THAN 20 MINUTES of YOUR TIME to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!   Sign up here so we know who to expect those mornings!

BoxTops

Our next BoxTops contest is underway!!  Keep on saving and send them in to the front office in a ziploc with the amount plus your child’s name and grade on the bag.  Congratulations to our last contest winners- Owen Lewis and Nicholas Holda!!  We hope they had fun shopping on Amazon!

Mental Health Community Engagement Grant

The BBMS PTA recently applied for a Mental Health Community Engagement Grant and qualified!  This $500 grant will be a huge help for us to meet our budget needs for the school year! Thank you to Heather Fox, for all your efforts in applying and following through with this grant!  Look for more information in upcoming newsletters.

Thank you!!!

Our community pulled it together last minute, but we made the magic happen!! Thank you to everyone who played a part in that magic!  We had boxes of items dropped off, an abundance of volunteers to run the shark shop and tons of elves to wrap and organize it all!  Thank you to Brenda Schaaf, Amy Reese, Fran Koung, Nina Markey, Nicole Maccherone, Terri Jones, Beth Benoit, Amy LoPresti and Mashel Wakil for your help! An extra special thank you to Tara Gorsky, our Shark Shop Extraordinaire, who keeps it all going throughout the school year for our students to work hard for those shark bucks!!

What’s your New Years Resolution??  WE NEED YOU

Did your New Years Resolution include getting more involved at your child’s school??  We welcome anyone who wants to volunteer in any way for the PTA. You do not have to attend a monthly PTA meeting to volunteer and play a part in making the 2018-2019 school year amazing!  If you are looking to get involved, we have plenty of opportunities in the second half of the school year. Send an email to volunteers@bbmspta.org to receive more information.
