New Student & 6th Grade Orientation
- August 21st @ 1:00-2:30 p.m.- 6th Grade Orientation
- Our 6th grade orientation will be divided into two parts this year. One portion is for 6th grade students and one portion is for 6th grade parents.
- We are asking 6th grade families to drop their student(s) off at BBMS at 1:00 p.m. Vehicles will need to enter through the Ilchester Elementary School entrance, and drive along the curb in order to drop off their student (staff will be available to guide and assist). Students will be guided into our building by both staff and student volunteers to engage in the orientation.
- The parent portion of orientation will be held from 1:30-2:30 in the BBMS Cafeteria. I recognize that this 30-minute gap may seem like an inconvenience, but it is important for us to get all of the students in the building and settled, before we can welcome parents.
- During 6th Grade Orientation, students will receive their locker assignments, and have the opportunity to practice opening their lockers. We encourage families to not bring school supplies or decorations during orientation, but those items are welcome at our Open House.
- August 21st @ 1:30-2:30 p.m.- New Student Orientation
- This opportunity is intended for 7th and 8th graders who are newly enrolled at BBMS (students who did not attend BBMS last year). Students will have the opportunity to meet with some of our staff and learn about Bonnie Branch Middle School. 7th and 8th parents of newly enrolled 7th and 8th grade students, are welcome to join our 6th parents in the cafeteria, for a brief presentation.
