What a wonderful couple of days! Our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade orientations were so much fun! It was great to see our students again. Thank you for trusting us to help your children navigate the start of school. They seemed to enjoy their time getting to know the building, our teachers, and each other.
Thank you to the PTA for the lovely breakfast this week! Staff enjoyed the morning treats very much. Please consider joining the PTA. https://www.bbmspta.org/
69% of our families have completed Family File! Please, check your email. Jen Soler sent individual emails to families who still need to complete this important task.
First Day Procedure Reminders
- Bus stop locations and times can be found on the HCPSS Bus Locator webpage. As you prepare for a great start to school, keep in mind that sometimes it takes a week or two for the arrival times to be completely accurate due to the variety of bus routes. For this reason, we recommend that students arrive 15 minutes prior to the published, scheduled pick-up time, while also being prepared for a bus to be delayed. We encourage you to check this website on Sunday evening to make sure there have not been any changes. Thanks for your patience!
- Remember to have your child bring their fully charged chromebook. Students who have not received their computer, may visit the media center to do so. Book bags may be carried throughout the day or students may utilize their assigned locker. Used, and some new, locker shelves will be available for purchase during back to school night 9/9. Proceeds will go to support our music department.
- Water bottles are encouraged. These do not need to be plastic or see-through as originally shared.
- Masks must be worn throughout the day, completely covering the nose and mouth. Gators are not permitted in place of a 2 ply mask. They may be worn in addition to the mask, however.
- Cell phones should be off and away at all times throughout the day. This includes the bus, lunch, hallway travel and the restroom. Please visit HCPSS policy 8080 for more information. Please call if you have any questions.
Arrival to BBMS:
- Bus riding students should look for signs for entry into the building, 6th grade will use the cafe/gym entrance, 7th grade will go down the exterior stairs to the lower level entrance, 8th grade will enter through the main entrance of the building.
- Car riding students, please follow the path and directions of staff on duty. Do not have your children exit the car until you get to the end of the loop behind the building. We hope to do this in the safest, most efficient way possible to allow you to get to your destination in a timely manner. PLEASE, PLEASE, follow directions of the traffic staff.
- Free grab and go breakfast items will be located at tables outside of the cafeteria for students to eat in classrooms. Lunch will be offered free of charge as well. Students may opt to eat outside, weather permitting. If you have not already, please sign-up using this LINK so that we will have an idea of how many students to prepare for. In the event of rain, we will find an alternate location for these students.
