American Education Week and Turkey Trot

Thu, 11/10/2016 - 2:13pm

Dear Parents,

The week of November 14th is designated as American Education Week.  We are happy to welcome our parents to BBMS to watch our students and staff in action.  Due to the parking issue, we are asking that parents not park in the bus loop until after 9:20 a.m. (after IES’s buses have departed) and that they exit the building before 2:30 p.m. so that our buses can park.  Parking is also available in the back of our building.

This year we are asking parents to come visit on the following days:
    6th grade    Tuesday, November 15
    7th grade    Monday, November 14
    8th grade    Wednesday, November 16

You are certainly welcome to come any day that week, but we will have chairs set up in classrooms to accommodate you on the days listed above.  We rescheduled Terrapin Adventures (due to that deluge of rain), so half of our 8th graders will be out of the building on Monday, November 14.  Several of our 8th grade teachers teach 6th grade as well so they will not be available on Monday.

Report cards will be sent home with your student on November 15th. The Turkey Trot will be held November 17th ad 18th during all PE Classes. Parents are welcome to come join in the fun.

Parent conferences are set for November 21 and November 22.  Please remember that each parent may select 3 teachers to conference with during this time.  Each conference time is set for 15 minutes.  You can begin scheduling conferences today.  You can access the sign-up through your HCPSS Connect account.

Thank you

Cher Jones
