Principal's Message

March 24, 2023

Dear Shark Families!

We hope you are staying current with all the news from BBMS.  As you know, spring break is right around the corner and we will celebrate by having a school-wide pep rally on Friday, March 31.  This should be a great way to enter the break and a big thanks goes out to our PBIS Committee and the Student Council for coming up with fun ways to celebrate!  When we come back from the break, students will be entering the 4th and last marking period.  This is the time of year when students will be able to showcase their very best work.   We have activities in and out of school listed in the news this week and we hope families are able to attend, participate, and encourage students to do their very best.  Attendance in the 4th marking period is also very important as students will take several state level tests in ELA, Math, and Social Studies (8th Grade Only).  When students come to school each day, they tend to perform at their best.  Thank you for monitoring this, communicating absences with our staff, and doing what you can to make sure students are prepared for those assessments.  The results help us determine the amount of progress students are making, where they may need more support, and determine if they are in the appropriate level (challenge) classes.  We are fortunate for so many things at BBMS; we hope you take some time to review the list of activities coming up and look forward to seeing you in attendance at BBMS very soon.

Thank you and have a great week!

Dr. Cockley, Principal
