REFLECTIONS
It's time to get those creative juices flowing, BBMS! Celebrate those special heroes in your life by entering this year's PTA Reflections contest. Prizes will be awarded to the best original entries in the following categories:

  • Dance
  • Choreography
  • Film Production
  • Literature
  • Music Composition
  • Photography
  • Visual Arts

This year's theme is: Heroes Around Me. These can be everyday heroes like that one friend who gave up their time to help you through some homework OR that one teacher who gave you a piece of encouragement and meant it! All these tiny little deeds make someone a hero - they don’t necessarily have to fit the common definition. Show us what their actions meant and design a tribute showing what their actions meant to you!

No experience is required to participate in Reflections! All entries must be original - they can even be something you've already begun in class or on your own but just haven't submitted yet.  Choose the Arts category that you are interested in, create an original piece of artwork based on the theme “Heroes Around Me,” and be recognized as the true artist that you are in your community.

Please read the following rules carefully so your entry is not disqualified!

Official Rules: http://mdpta.org/documents/18-19ReflectionsOfficialRules.pdf

Category Rule Sheets: http://mdpta.org/documents/Appendix3RulesSheetsforSixArtsAreas.pdf

Entry Form: http://mdpta.org/documents/Appendix22018-2019MarylandStudentEntryForm.pdf

Deadline for submissions is November 16, 2018. No late entries can be accepted! Please turn in your entries to the BBMS Front Office.

PALS- Parents Assisting Lunch Shifts- easy way to get involved!!

Assisting in the cafeteria is a great way to be a part of the school atmosphere and see the students interacting.  We need volunteers for any and all lunch shifts, ensuring that there aren’t too many students leaving at one time to shop or go to the bathroom - low stress, but fun to be a part of the kid’s day.
