Are you interested in summer academic and enrichment programs?  As Summer 2022 approaches, we continue to plan high-quality options for students. You will find up-to-date information, including course listings and schedules, on the Summer Programs web page: www.hcpss.org/summer-programs/

Deadline to Enroll:  February 15 @ 6pm

This website will provide detailed descriptions of the following programs:

1.  Black Student Achievement Program (BSAP) Summer Institute - Gr K to 9. 

Students participate in Reading, English, math, science and social studies in the morning, and then a wide range of enrichment opportunities in the afternoon.

2.  Gifted & Talented (GT) Summer Institutes for Talent Development - Gr 1 to 8.

Advanced level instruction and enrichment activities focusing on talent development, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, technology and fine arts.

3.  Innovative Pathways High School (Entering Grade 9, & Current Grades 9 to12)

Offers credit-bearing courses in a variety of subjects to support academic achievement and acceleration.  Traditional face-to-face classes meet in the mornings; while virtual, synchronous classes are offered in the afternoon.

4.  STARTALK Chinese Language Summer Camp (Grades 7 & 8)

Offers students Chinese language proficiency development with a focus on speaking for novice level learners and the addition of reading and writing for intermediate learners.  The program also includes culture-themed activities such as arts and crafts, martial arts, virtual field trips and games.
